Barrister Mian Sheraz Javaid and Nasir Khan MBE at the invitation of Member Bar Council Advocate Adil Aziz Qazi visited the Islamabad Bar Council on Friday.

As part of the visit, the CIArb Pakistan  Chair and Vice Chair had a meaningful discussion with young lawyers regarding their experience with alternative methods of dispute resolution and trends unfolding in Pakistan. 

Subsequently, the Chair and Vice Chair provided a brief ADR training to members of the Islamabad Bar Council regarding the globally emerging importance and popularity of alternative methods of dispute resolution and the time of need for Pakistan to refurbish its ADR and particularly Arbitration laws. The CIArb representatives extended their support and access to the international network of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in the hopes of providing services of aid learning. The visit was a welcome step in connecting the Pakistani legal fraternity with international resources for the possibility of future collaboration in the furtherance and development of alternatives to the judicial process in Pakistan.
